The Fog has Lifted
When you tell people that you are having your fifth baby their first reaction is a very nervous laugh, followed by an unconscious wiping of invisible sweat from their brow. You can tell they are thinking better them than me… and that’s pretty much how it goes. I must admit if you had told me I was going to have 5 kids, that too, would have been my reaction - but the reality is we have been blessed with 5 beautiful, noisy, funny, sometimes annoying and very spirited kids. It’s only now that Beau is 2.5 years old that the “FOG” has lifted. It has taken me 5 children to realise so much about having a baby, and the sheer joy that a baby brings. Having a 5th baby has given our family a new outlook on life, a renewed focus on family and so much love and laughter.
So now, after taking the time for family I feel like it is time to get on with it, and share our next big project - our house - while we are still in the really early stages of our reno process. I want to share my inspirations and what we want to achieve, and to also share how we live - because over the last few years through my work plus balancing a big family, I have learnt so many great tips and tricks, and ways to make a beautiful space amidst having a real life. Let’s face it, houses are not always perfect, we are all juggling our time - the balls are dropped often - but to come back to an inspired space that is really lived in and that you love, is the way I want to live.
